This is supposed to be a moonlit view of a small part of the iditarod dogsled race course.
Trouble is, I'm not sure about whether or not the angle of the sled tracks are in line with the terrain or not. I've stared at it so long, that I can't make a judgement on it.
Should I start over, and give the tracks more of a sideways view, or maybe run the tracks up and down?
The tracks look fine to me ... maybe define the terrain a little more with some shading?
Thank you Bob.
I thought they were ok, but, wasn't sure that my wanting it to be, wasn't standing in the way of the reality of other's eyes.
I'll see if I can figure out a way to define the terrain a bit more with some shading as you suggested.
That snow is incredible!!!
Looks to me like you know snow!
I think the subtleties are fantastic!
Thank you sir..
Wish I could take more credit for the snow... To be honest, I was sort of experimenting with the brush and trying shades of colors and amount of metallic, looking to see if I could create a good cloud scenerio, and next thing I know - I see snow....so - as the saying goes.... I made lemonade!!
I did touch it up here and there, but mostly - just blind luck..
I'm posting the finished project in the gallery.
Yeah. but that's often how we discover new techniques.
Now you can do it on demand. . . I'd say it's a fine, refreshing drink, is our snowy lemonade.
It's a "happy accident"!
