    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

I usually grab a handful every year. They grow in a local park next to the bird blind.

The last time I kept an open mind,
my brain fell out and the dog grabbed it.
Now it's full of dirt, toothmarks, and dog slobber.
No more open minds or dogs for me.www.gms9810.com/

Perfect depiction of them. The vague transparency and consistence is just right in Your rendering.
I'm not too familiar with gooseberries (Lat. Ribes uva-crispa, uva spina in Italian) , since what naturally grows here is a smaller "relative" we actually call just ribes we may pick around and is red in the most common type, while gooseberries are rather found on our major mountain chains .... They are more northern Europe berries and they are now intensively produced industrially and spread from countries such as Britain and Germany.

The light in this painting is exceptional. The translucency of the berries is very well executed. Thumbs up.

Curious life form. I've not seen them before but I've heard of them certainly. Very botanical illustration.
