Really great, vibrant painting you have here. I especially love the textures bright peeks of color showing through in the background.

Hi, back to you Mr.Ploos no, I didn't see Caesar - where was he when I needed him? When it looked like we were going to be stranded in Rome I could have done with a friendly face/voice to help us with our hotel-transfer driver problems. As for the 'better half' he was the cause of all the troubles - still considering divorce.

Thanks damasocl for your comment - I think you liked it.

Delo - thanks also to you - the background was an experiment - I wonder if I can replicate it.

Quite right. You just served your 50 years, and now it's time to start over . . . with a whole new set of problems, hahahah.

Incidentally, that's a really beautiful addendum! Instead of being a gardener, if your grow these you're an editor.

You've got some really great definition there and I love the background. Nice water droplets and it's a sweet job all around.

Go Enug! I mean stay put and PAINT, can't you hold still for just one moment!?!?!?!?

Dear Mr.Akey you gave me a laugh when I needed it. Just finished hotel reviews with Trip Advisor and Booking.com and found this site http://www.airportlostandfound.com/r...lost-property/ so who knows? - miracles do happen.

One of our co-travellers, for the early part of our trip, sent us links to his 500+ photos on google+ So we have access to some similar to the ones we lost. To think we were making jokes about this 'snap happy' tourist.

Glad you liked the flower - I guess I'll have to add another.

This flower is absolutely wonderful and masterfully painted, although I'm sorry this probably means that You didn't recover Your tablet and pictures for a collection of other "exotic" subjects to paint.
I'm also sorry I didn't even know You got intosuch troubles before it was too late, also because actually I got my first flu in years and I was "out" of the Forum and anything else for quite a long time in that period.
I expected You were mostly travelling outside Rome's walls and across the Adriatic Sea as You anticipated, thus "out of reach" for any possible meeting or need, certainly not that You were going to have such a unpredictable misadventure!
Too sad, dear mate, for me to realize I didn't even give You a contact, even for just an unlikely emergency call need ...
I hope though that You may now at least benefit of the spiritual blessings You possibly got for at least next century, when You'll probably like to stay at home, also to have enough time to turn Your dark memories into fun laughters once the time will wipe off Your disappointment from the epic tale of Your Odissey.
    Panta rei (everything flows)!

Thanks dear Caesar and Jean. Sorry about the 'flu - I had it many years ago and still remember how ill I felt. Some people claim to have had the 'flu 'over the weekend' - sorry, that's not the 'flu, you don't get over it that quickly. We are fortunate that our vaccine developers watch the northern hemisphere and have the vaccine ready for us in about March. This year there was apparently a particularly virulent version (which is probably the one you caught) and our vaccines were a month late in release to cover it - received my dose days before we left for Europe. Hope you are feeling stronger now.

Thanks again to you both for liking the flower.
