    Glue art

    Hi,

Do you think it is possible to do glue art?

Thank you for your ideas !

    How's this? (see attached image)

You could probably get away with using only the Paint Tube for the "Glue" lines, but I chose to use the Gloop Pen to do the initial lines. I then selected the Gloop pen lines, using the Select Layer Contents option on the Edit menu, and filled them in with thick paint, using the Paint Tube. For a better effect, I smoothed the lines out a bit, using the Palette Knifes "Blue" setting. This made the paint look a little more melted, as though it were glue. Then I just painted over it, using the Water Color tool.

Oh thank you What a wonderful effect! I try to do the same but it does not create the same appearance. I am not as talented as you. I am going to be a little bold: could you reveal us your parameters?

I'll try to make a written tutorial on the steps, later today. Aside from the "glue" aspect of it, a good majority of the effects shown here are covered in my recent Watercolor Tutorial. It's in English, however, so I'm not sure how useful that will be for you?

I'm not sure what you mean by "thicker work"?

From what I can tell there seems to be a limit to how high you can build your impasto effects (including this glue effect here). Even with multiple layers all set to bump mode add it appears to have a limit, this is probably due to a way that the software is programmed (or rendering limitations of our GPUs). Whatever the issue there I'm not too bothered by it, it's a good limitation with which to work in, as to go much further might push the software into the realm of sculpting (which could be awesome too if not a good focus for this software).

Thanks for sharing the example SOS, I could totally see how that works and creates a very interesting effect.
