    The Blue Wagon

    I painted this in a larger picture but didn't care too much for all the background so I decided to crop it and get a detail. I was more pleased with that so here it is.

    marilyn-anne I don't know that it looked like before but the crop you did makes this a very successful painting. I love the blues and golds in this.. and the play of verticals and the curves of the wagon and tires...

    Reminds me of a Mary Cassatt in some ways. It has a pastel softness, and a reference to childhood. I really like the composition and the colors you have chosen. Brava!

    I often struggle with paintings and cropping is sometimes a good way to settle it!

    I like this a lot Marilyn and a wonderful palette you chose for this one
    Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

    Cropping is often the best plan and easy in the digital world. I like this painting very much! Great job!!
