Thread: It's been a while. Greek Hats?

  1. It's been a while. Greek Hats?

I've not posted anything in a while - I think it's time to play catchup. Here are two pieces I've done in the last few months. I've also got two other old threads to go and update - I'd better get a move on!

Source was two lovely stock photographs on Deviant Art:

    Pic 2

Hope you enjoy, and a happy new year to you.

They're both really good, but I think the first one in black is alive with voice or at least attitude. I feel I know them both. Nice fabric especially though I know the heads are the real telling touch. You get really good personalities.

Wow fantastic work I really like the first one as you have done such a great job on the fabric as well as everything else. Love them both

Wow these are really good, love the fabric in the first one.

  7. Thank you for the kind comments.

I prefer the first one, though it took considerably less time than the second (I think painting smaller helped). In both cases the cloth took a great deal of time, so I'm happy you appreciate that aspect

Also, I'm terrible - I forgot to mention that these are based on stock photographs from Deviant Art - I've corrected that in the original post now.
