Sala Flower - Greetings from Thailand

    Hi,

This is my last week in Thailand and we look forward to going home (in a way).

In Thailand, this week starting from the full moon day was the celebration of the the Lord Buddha First lecture after Enlightment. This reminds me of a tree's Flower I painted at the end of last year, it is called Sala Flower. Sala trees are tall trees which produce flower from the trunk. The type of tree is important in Buddhism, the Lord Buddha was born and died under this type of trees.

My painting is in water color and from a photogranph I took from a Sala tree in a temple ground.

Any comments and advice are appreciated.

    Cheers!

Very beautiful! I love flowers done in watercolour. The delicate beauty of the flowers are always rendered well in watercolours.

Thanks to Muir, Byron, Barnburner and Pat. Yes I miss you all and the paintings too.

Hopefully I can go back to painting again after being in a real home again.

    Cheers!
