    Red face Winter Coming on

Okay...Something about the depth in this picture is missing...can't seem to get it right. Suggestions welcome!

You have given all elements equal value and attention. For an object(s) to appear to receed, they must lose edges, and strength of color, as well as detail. You can soften the rear mtns, and see if that doesn't please you a bit more.

Thank you so much for the wonderful suggestion....I have no language skills in art...working on my vocabulary. I am going to try to soften the mountains as you suggested.

    gigicharm,
What lovely fall colors in this scenic beauty. Those tall evergreens
are majestic and beautifully painted. Winter may be coming on but
my wish would be that this splendid view will last a bit longer.

Wonderful painting Gigi. I love your design and colors.
I would indeed listen to our dear Skylar, also check out tut's with Peter. It is not my forte, and I have struggled with mountains and landscapes for a while. One day I am going to tackle it though!

A pleasant painting and Skylar just gave very useful advice. Keep painting, let us see more.
