    Strange color behavior with markers

Hey there, I'm working a bit with markers and I noticed a strange behavior with colors. I did create a strip of images to show what happens.

    Structure of the file :
    1 foreground layer
    1 background layer

    From the left :
    1) greyscale image (all colors removed with "adjust colors")
    2) using the Hard Tip marker and a grey I paint some strokes on other ones
    3) I keep picking from the image and painting again, till my greys start growing a blue tint; I could go on and have the blue growing more and more

Why is it happening? Is it a bug? A feature?

I just attached the image and I see something went wrong with JPG compression.. anyway, they were just meant to show the steps

Hi Andrea , I also get this issue when sampling greys from the image. Even with no texture to the paper and global lighting turned off.

The issue seems to lie in sampling from the image. I've found that if you make up a palette of greys (just adjust the luminance in the precise colour picker) that these colour shifts do not occur.

I've attached a .col of 11 greys based on luminance for you to try out... just add more values if you need more variation of greys and then do a sort to get them ordered.

    Thanks so much Juz

My current workaround is to adjust colors back to greys from time to time, but I'll use your method in case it'll be more appropriate!

We'll make a note of this in our list of stuff to look at, looks like it could be a bug. Thanks for the report!

This will be resolved in the next build of ArtRage. It relates to the same blending error as the palette knife introducing blue. Blerp problem.
