What a nice thing to acknowledge. I've been aware of Peter's old band for some time now. Great stuff. Was an inspiration for me taking up the guitar about a year and a half ago.

A side bar, Aubrey Small got robbed by some Austrian bootleggers who stole the music, and were selling Aubrey Small music with zero legal agreement or compensation. Ripped off as they used to say and a prolonged ugly legal battle ensued that I don't think ended well for Pete and the lads just recently. He can doubtless tell you exactly what came of it.

In one of those ironic twists, he put his focus onto his visual art in ArtRage. And coming from no visual art background got really good. A lot of paintings and many were of stormy seas reflecting what was going on with his legal battles. I would see him post painting of a bad storm and I thought things were going badly for Pete. And then the weather would get better. And worse again. Was like he was keeping us updated with barometric readings in virtual paint instead of mercury, all the while getting technically very good. I can think of far worse ways to funnel your frustration than learning to paint well.

Glad you, like me, appreciate his music. I think it was iSound (your link) where the artists get all the money for sales if I'm not mistaken. That's why I got my songs of his there. Since many of his songs paint pictures, it doesn't really surprise me that he learned to paint so quickly.

    First ........thank you Alan!

    For information:
it's now 2013 and still the legal machine rolls on..............I took the case(my opponents had argued that only the Austrian courts were competent and had won an appeal, against all the odds, to that effect) to the Cour de Cassation (French Supreme Court) and they passed it to the European Court of Justice due to the complexity of the legal arguments..........that court has just found in my favour by stating that the French courts ARE competent to try the case. So now it will be passed back to France and I can get going again.
My Father taught me never to give up and I've always followed his good advice.
I've also made the news in the press in Luxembourg, home of the Court of Justice, it's in French but basically says that the case has created a precedent for other musicians in Europe in the same situation as me.

Also a magazine in London called Record Collector contacted us and is releasing a collectors edition of the album on heavyweight vinyl with the single as a separate 7" disc with an unreleased track on the B side.

I think you need to post some new paintings of the ocean so I can figure out what's really going on.

Good luck, Chief. . . You deserve a win. I would like to think somebody wants to take this on. Really is making waves throughout Europe, isn't it.

This is definitely a victory. Well done! Keep at it till you get justice. Don't you love those who exploit the muddle of the law?

    Go Chief Go!

Blimey, mate. . . remember the colloquialism trying to get someone to understand what they're saying, Q: "Do I have to paint you a picture?" A: "Depends on the level you want understanding."

. . . in my case, Yes, and/or have the tribal attorney translate it into smoke signals suitable for the average brave. . . Gives the peace pipe a whole new purpose. . .

Not that it isn't entertaining reading, mind. . . and I could wade through it. . . but I have a guitar to re-string. . . and. . . um. . . I have. . . uh. . . yeah, I have to begin my novel. . . and uh. . . some other shit to attend to. . . but otherwise I would be right in there reading it carefully to make sure the wording of the law in Toulouse ain't too loose, Lautrec. . .

So in short: Go Man Go!
