    Shortcut for quick tool switch

Haven't found any shortcut for switching between two tools...
I KNOW about shortcuts for each tool (I - Ink Pen, W - Watercolor, etc)
But it's not what I need
When drawing, I usually use two tools, and I want to quickly switch between them by pressing, for example, Q key
It's like in Half-Life 2 game where you can switch between the weapon you carry in hands currently and a weapon you carried previously by pressing that key
    I hope I explained clearly...

Yes, Autodesk Sketchpad has it. Really useful!

    A favorites pod

Perhaps a favorites pod, name and add as many settings and groups to it as you like. Select group within then alt tab type sequence through it for quick tool choice etc

Iceaxe... this look too complicated to me. Better swapping between last two tools. It's common to work with, say, pencil and eraser, hence swapping tools with a single key may be useful.

I would use user defined hot keys. I usually hover around ctrl-z when I paint, and I'm comfortable working with my left hand in that area of the keyboard, and it would be great to set tools over there, z=oil, x=wc, c=knife, etc but I know that's a bit of a mess.

If your tablet supports programmable buttons you can always set them up there. I use this to switch quickly between 2 tools and set up presets for brush size as suggested by Iceaxe
