    new work for critique

    hi again, was kind of down after the smack on he head from my last image... made some other drawings, one of them of my dog..

    he is a groenendael ( belgian shepherd ) therefor black,, haha, but i think he came out ok.. any tips on making the fur look more lifelike ?

    Looks good. Add two feet a little offset from the ones showing and it should look more stable. I like it.

    Yep i agree with the feet, perhaps add some very dark brown hair to just pick up the sense of form a little more, i can see you have added some around the tail area and it made a huge difference, perhaps some on his chest as well, the head seems to be ever so slightly small too imho (in my honest opinion).

    All in all it's coming along very well, good job

    haha,, nope, the head is that size..

    , he has a small "french" head as it is called in the breeding for these dogs.

    Oh ok he does have a small head lol, good looking dog all the same

    I noticed he has a shiny coat, maybe try and reproduce that with some off white paint, with a slight metallic variation, maybe, just thing aloud here

    i tried that but didnt get it right,, it looked really fake. will try some more.
    and he is a great dog, so sweat and great to work with.

    Looks real good now. I remember following a car a long time ago (1971) in Spain following a car with one of these in the front seat. I thought it was a girl sitting there until I realized it was a dog. The long hair makes them deceiving from behind.
