    Screentoning texture help

I've been trying to use the paper grain to screentone, but it isn't doing what I want it to. I've uploaded a picture that shows how the tone shows up with each tool, as well as the tone itself. What I'm looking for is a way to make it a clean, seamless stamped texture like you would see in a comic, with cleaner edges and more control over the tool. The roller works pretty well, but it's hard to control. The chalk also works pretty well but it darkens the tone too much.

Either a stamp-type brush or an option to enlarge the stencils and tile the stencil pictures would work best.
