    Interface and Hotkey suggestion

I got an old Alias sketchbook pro 1.1 free with a book, I mention it because the zoom / pan interface is simple to use with a pen and tablet.

Basically space bar brings up a disc with a ring around it, making it easy to pan or zoom by dragging the appropriate ring - add a ring for rotate and Art rage would be that much faster.
Currently the zoom and rotate are a little clunky when using a tablet.

I haven't looked very hard, but hotkeys to rotate clockwise 10 or 15 degrees (and counter cc) would also be a help.

And while I mention hotkeys, a hotkey editor comes to mind.

its nice to see in a single window all the avaiable hotkeys.
The pan screen tool is simular in open canvas and some other applications, but i think artrage could go with a simpler way of doing it. Only by holding space+scrolling up/down is enough i think. No need for more buttons and clutter.. besides,it already has this feature

    eh?

Sorry, but if you actually tried this feature you would quickly get it. It's not a button that would stay on the screen, only one that pops up when you hold the space bar. It is simple and intuitive. Art rage does NOT have this feature., which would de-clutter the interface as you would not need to display a rotate zoom or pan tool until it is being used.

Don't even mention scrolling - I am talking about using a pen tablet.

Any commands involving the right or middle mouse buttons can be done on a stylus, but it forces the user to change hand position when drawing. That equals slow down, as does hunting for keyboard combinations.

So no, I do not see this feature nor a hotkey editor, nor commands to rotate (counter) clockwise in steps.

I quickly took to the idea of holding the "shift+right mouse button" zoom ArtRage has. I get frustrated using Photoshop, because I don't have the feature. In fact, I wish there was a shortcut like it to scale my brush size.
Nothing is easy to the unwilling.

    sigh.

I quickly got the hang of control alt delete too.

Photoshop would also be improved by a spacebar pan and zoom (and rotate) - but it has so many commands and so many people who would whine about the change - any change.

All you people drawing with a mouse .. find a wacom tablet somewhere.

    It's a change ... but a good one.
