Hello GeorgeO and welcome to the ArtRage forums
That’s a very uplifting first painting you have there
Had to look up WPAP, not a style I was aware of as a thing in it’s own right, until now
Have to ask though, as there are quite a few in the world, who is this particular Siobhan

She's my grand daughter - just graduated as an architect.
yes I quite love this WPAP art but rather challenging on Artrage because only way of selecting polygons seems to be use of the polygon select tool. although I may be missing a trick - still got lot to learn about the software!

I think us artists need a degree of challenge while working, it makes the end result all the more satisfying
It’s part of the fun for me at least, the problem solving, finding what works and what doesn’t!
A technique which may, or may not, lend itself to doing this style of art in AR, is that with any tool, if you hold down the cmd key (on Macs, probably ctrl on Windows) you can click-hold and drag out a line away from your starting point and when you release the click you will get a dead strait brush stroke.

    Unhappy Siobhan

    thanks Mark.
yes i got that one about the straight lines. the problem is if you draw a triangle say using three straight lines and then use the fill tool it fills to the inside of the line. so in the end you left with all the lines showing .....

    Wonderful artwork here.

To make your polygon woes more bearable I would suggest making a couple triangle stencils. You could make other polygons, too, but making multiple triangles of various angles and types would give you the best versatility. Once you make the stencils, you can stretch, rotate, and resize them as needed on the fly while using them. You can even invert them.
