Dear silvercat,
You are so kind to say such nice things about this thread. The positive review
is due to the valued input of wonderful Art Rage members such as you and our
friends. Please do not feel that you should not consider submitting ANYTHING
in this thread. We love variety and welcome all entry's.
Your painting is just wonderful! Agreed, the theme is not "olives" but it IS
about music, celebration, love and creativity. Love the texture and the
birthday cake guitar's design is striking. Thanks for submitting it. Just lovely!

[quote=silvercat](By the way- Mairzie Dotes,is there a link to some page
where you can listen to that song? I could not make out the melody.. or
please can you sing it again? )
silvercat,
I think you may be referring to the song that I used in this thread titled,
"Someday My Prince Will Come" The song comes from a vintage
Disney animated movie, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". The full
song lyrics are . . . .
Someday My Prince Will Come
Someday my prince will come
Someday I'll find my love
And how thrilling
That moment will be
When the prince
Of my dreams comes to me
He'll whisper I love you
And steal a kiss or two
Though he's far away
I'll find my love someday
Someday
When my dreams come true
Someday I'll find my love
Someone to call my own
And I know
At the moment we meet
Or my heart will start
Skipping the beats
Someday we'll say and do
Things we've been longing to
Though she's far away
I'll find my love someday
Someday
When my dreams come true
Someday my prince will come
Someday we'll meet again
And away
To his castle we'll go
To be happy forever I know
Someday when spring is here
We'll find our love anew
And the birds will sing
And wedding bells will ring
Someday
When my dreams come true

And Mair, the Unmistakable Molly Brown, yes ma'am! You do great work! You're wonderful at hosting and making everyone feel welcome, and a GREAT poem writer!
And sorry, thought the song was about Mairzie Dotes.. oh well.. didn't know it was about Someday My Prince Will Come.. yes, don't we all dream about that? Wonderful thread, my dear Mair... and so many lovely additions!
Dear, soprano-ish and sorta like, alto-ish D Akey
OMG! I had no idea that along with your wealth of unbounded talents
you were also a singing cowboy? Gee, that places you on the same
ballad level as Gene Audrey, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans!!! Can you
be rented out for gala's and round ups? Inquiring minds want to know?
Mairzie Dotes
She's a poet and her feet show it -- they're Longfellows. (Her joke)
We love our Mair,
She plays 'em fair.
She's here and there.
So Blues take care,
You're out of hair. . . out of here. . . You're out of HERE, Mr. Blue. . .
Actually, I'm out of hair.
Mair has hair.
So there!
<ta da>
Thank you Irish for pointing that out about Mairzie Dotes. I agree completely. She is the epitome of convivial hostess-ness and cordiality.
Well done Mair. Really. Just wouldn't be right without you. X/O
