Wow! Boy are you a natural for studio drawings. Nice when you're actually allowed to stare and can look, and consider, and analyze. . . which ain't always so easy on the fly. . . or on the bus. . .
So how long are you given for these poses? When I did studio classes, it was roughly one minute poses, then two minutes, five, then ten, and extended from there for the balance of the class.
And. . . and I need to know. . . is that a self-portrait with the reversed red hat, as ya told us you were to be wearing? Representing the scarlet badge of notoriety like the dangerous roaming eye, a loose sketch pad, will travel sort?
Right! Well, I'm keeping my eye on you, lad. . . especially if you keep up this subject matter. Clearly you know where the drawings grow.
Oh, and from before, loved the sheer "too loose" garment on that lass with the very long black gloves. One has to admire a woman who would offer such great pair of silhouettes to the artist. Very funny, my dear chap.

Oh, you must have been still uploading. I also quite like the poses that look like they are in a coffee shop or something. Nice stuff. Better and better all the time. You're handling more complex images as well. Nice stuff.

Hi D Akey about 8 mins I like the bit about standing staring consider and
analyze cos I just smashem out like bus sketching but think its
what that art teacher bloke said take a sketch pad with you and sketch all the time and suddenly you will be able to sketch anything thats where the 3 master's come in as they told me to look more closely and polish hope I'm moving in that derection ? looks like I'll have to go and have a chat with my old mate the Reaper see if I can get a time allowance, that was to be fun s/portrait
showing me in the red hat but ( suddenly it was my dad)
Nothing wrong with bashing em out if that's your comfortable method. Only thing is that the in-studio models should hold still for ya, and you get a better angle than on a bus or restaurant or classroom. I used to be really good at sketching the back of people's heads owing to that being how the chairs or seats usually seemed to be situated. You at least seem to show some faces with your sketching.
But nude models were good cause if I was done with the pose from one angle I could just move to another seat and have a whole new picture possibility. Although for some reason that rarely happened. They were changing poses faster than I could grab em, cause there always seemed to be a bit more detail I could add. Most times I wished they could go back for another minute. So the speed thing kept me from getting too detailed.
An argument for bashing em out would be it keeps ya honest with first impressions. The only real downside is if they seem to get to looking the same (down the road). Changing the speed of the drawing is one way to break out into something new.
But so long as it's working for ya to draw fast, I say go for it until it no longer serves ya. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, sez I and an awful lot of folk. On the other hand, for early maintenance, if it begins grinding, could do with a lube job as well.
You cracked me up with suddenly finding your self-portrait turning into your dad! Hahahahaha. Eighty+ the Younger?
