go get it. It's free. and it's photo shop compatible and they update the hell out of it. It is extremely powerful. It is designed for the Japanese Manga industry and so Shonen Jump is behind it and they use it to find their illustrators--it has a GIANT world wide cloud community and artist can hook up and work on projects together as teams. You can do the offline
thing or go cloud if you want to. Very secure but its a great way to get exposure if you are into that sort of thing. I have met a lot of talented illustrators from a lot of different nations through medibang.

NOW, I have kept my mouth shut about Krita but my personal opinion is that, yes, it is one great program, if you have a PC or Linnux but if you own a Mac you are a dog--not my opinion--the owners of Krita despise, hate, deplore and loathe Macs--we are the dirty stinky diaper of their offerings. They have said they hate macs on the forums and unless someone coughs up enough cash, they don't and won't go out of their way to support the program. On my PC Krita runs like a dream. I love it...well sort of--I think it is like Blender, the 3d modeling tool---sometimes all you need is a piece of paper, pencil and a ticonderoga to draw a mountainside. You don't need to spend time fiddling with the program, getting the point just right, drawing it and then hoping it will save or print. On my mac, the cursor drags and is slow--it's never been fixed. The sketching still is good but is nowhere near the pleasant experience I just had with AR.

AR --you pick up the pencil, you sketch, you erase and you don't get angry (I have anger issues with computers). Now this is my opinion but you be the judge, it might be great for you but if a developer says something bad about one platform in public, then I don't trust them because if they run into a problem on the other platforms are they going to make the same excuses and run away? I can't be the judge of that. Not my place but we all have not time to waste and AR is one great time saver.

One to absolutely stay away from but is fantastic is Made with Mischief or Mischief. It is vector based and features an "infinite canvas" and the ability to "pin" various locations. Very cool. I love this thing and I beta tested on it. However, it's lying dead in the water because it's owners may not know where it fits into their product base so it's sold and you can get it for about 20 bucks but don't look for updates. It's sad but honestly it's not going anywhere. It's a dream to sketch with too.
