Awesome, ArtRage 5 means you can play around with the custom brush and
all the Airbrush options.
Watch this video to start, it walks you through all the Airbrush settings. Anything the Airbrush does, the custom brush can do as well, but you might not need to go there yet.

I definitely recommend playing with the stylus pressure options, you'll probably find it's exactly what you need. To jump straight to the 'stylus properties', go to 5.07 -

If you want to use the custom brush, you probably just want to load a very simple circle head from the defaults (a hard circle is probably best, but you can try a soft circle as well) and play around.
