"What can you paint in 30 minutes thread"

First off, i'm not an artist, i'm a programmer so i've never taken any art classes and i'm sure everyone (from what i've seen!) can do a lot better.
(And yes I know should have used smaller paint strokes on the sand to pick it up better, but I ran out of time!)

Here's my entry for the "What can you do in 30 minutes" thread.

Hi Kyhwana - welcome to the forum.

That's a good idea for a thread - get people's creative juices flowing at speed.

And so far, yours is the best in the thread!

20-25 minutes, some mistakes as I'm still getting used to ArtRage (not enough time in the last month or so), photo reference (was that allowed?). Water, trees and shoreline to match theme set by kyhwana.

Also showing the piece in progress nearing completion.

Now off to look after my sick cat.

I dunno, I cheated and used a photo as a trace picture (and grain)

Oh, I forgot to mention I was using a tablet (a crappy graphire)

I don't see tablets or reference images as a problem, whatever's fun really! Nice idea, I'll have to see if I get chance to try my hand at one later

Good thread. I like these speed painting threads. I haven't been a participant much in the past on other forums but it's always fun to see what people do. I took a look at that link that generates a descriptive sentence and came up with "An armored gaurdian unearths an angel in the twilight". So here is what I could do in 30 min. I clearly need practice on speed painting. It's fun though.

That's quite an image, Fashmir. Like something I'd expect to see in a Japanese Anime series.
