I'm thinking a new layer and either pencil or marker?

What was the problem? Did you want to emphasise the bales more?

I would give it less green in the bales and more of a straw color (I know they're sometimes very green). Perhaps leaving the green as an underpainting and working on top would be good. Also the idea of using a pencil to put in some of that straw texture was good too.

And you could perhaps give it a lighter top to the bale. Giving it a little dimension would make it feel more like a free standing object.

Overall, it's a nice painting. I like it. Only saying this stuff cause you implied you feel a little stuck.

Thanks guys. It worked! You probably can't tell after I shrunk it to post it. And to answer your question FurrTrap I was just wanting my hay to look less "Crayola-ish". I also used GIMP and exported and ran it through the "softglow" Filter.
