    Some Lava Skin

Right, I'm thinking of using this kind of thing in some composition or another, monster probably, and was wondering what you guys think of it. I'm quite pleased with it but if any of you have anyting similar or can give me any tips, do.

No tips from me. I would say it would be good dragon skin. Nice work. John B

Are you going to use it as a skin for a 3D model?

I don't do 3D, so I don't know how much you need to wrap it.

I think it may be good to vary the size so that the squares get big in the more massive part of the body, and smaller in the areas you want the eye to progress down to like the hands and perhaps face.

I don't know if that can be sized after the skin texture has been made.

Has a nice glowing lava like feel. I could see it on a character that is a cross between the Thing and the Human Torch in Fantastic Four.
