Just to say how much I like 2.5 and I thought 2.0 was the tops
It really must be the best art bargain on the web
It has just been featured as an editor's choice in the UK magazine, PC Answers
I own Painter 9.5 and Photoshop CS but I have to say that for drawing ArtRage is by far the most sensitive and responds like traditional media
I Find that ArtRage and Open Canvas take care of all my bimap art needs
I am in the process of emigrating to Ubuntu Linux, as I am no longer prepared to support the Microsoft ransom outfit, Would you consider releasing a Linux friendly version? Until then I will keep a cut down version of XP and dual boot.
This may have been posted twice due to finger trouble , sorry
Well, AR works on Ubuntu All you have to do is to make sure that wine is installed and put gdiplus.dll in your ~/.wine folder (for AR2.5). Installation goes from console with msiexec /i <name_of_AR_exe_file> ...
Apologies for late response, Been away.
Thanks, that was very helpful, gradually the Ubuntu side of things is gaining ground for me and help like this is very valuable
