    Deleted paintings

My huge problem goes like this:

windows crash ..............had to do a clean install.............lost my AR paintings! (Yeah I know......DUMB!)

My question is how can I recover the work posted on the gallery forum? Is there a magic way?

I've tried save this image as and copy image without success...............

i forgot all the paintings I've done........so decided to make a gallery.......I typed in my user name.......in the search section at the top of this page and went thru everything that had my name as the topic starter.....

I right clicked on my picture ........in the left hand corner of the picture sometimes a little floppydisc icon appears....and i can click that and save it...

I save.....using 'picture as' or 'target as'

im not sure if this helps peter.......

if you didn't reformat your hard drive i think this program might work

    recovermyfiles

    www.recovermyfiles.com

it also has a free demo you see if your files are there

i had a exterinal hard drive that i could not get to ( I/O error ) though the usb hook up, but this program worked great

    good luck

    Hey Peter,
If you are using Firefox as your browser, "save image" does not seem to work.

When copying the stencils I have to use "copy image",and then I use Photopaint and under "File", I click on New from clipboard. Then Save as in whatever file format I want.

However, you can also Use "Copy Image" and open ArtRage and under Edit click on Paste from clipboard as new layer and it will open in AR.

This is if the previous answers do not work for you. (as it will be a lot of work, doing each painting separately)

Thank you all for your suggestions...............unfortunately I had formatted the disk before realising that I'd saved an old file with just a few paintings in it.............however I was trying Firefox as Hinket said and it doesn't work.......went to IE and I've started reloading them........success!!!

    Thanks again folks!
