    You don't have to, but it works for some to place the dark somewhere in the pic on a layer so that you don't ever loose touch with how dark it will get. If you paint without it, one can sometimes fine themselves having to paint areas more than once in order to accommodate a dark that is introduced late. Could throw the balance of your pic out of whack. Could men that it takes on an overworked look.

    Great composition. Looks really exotic. I like the colors that are there presently. But they will have to change some with every new bit you do to it.

    More like variations on an experimental theme.

    Thanks DA. Of course you noticed that I made a point to bring the darks forward? I'm not the brightest marble in the bag but, I can be taught.
