I recommend Wacom. (We love them, because they are shipping ArtRage 1 with the Volito!).
And I recommend you actually go for one of the Intuos range, because they track the tilt and rotation of the stylus. Many painting packages can use the tilt information as well as the pressure to adjust the stroke.

For example, in ArtRage 2, if you're using the airbrush tool, tilting the stylus directs the spray. Also with the pencil tool the direction of the lead follows the stylus direction if you turn up the tilt radial setting for the pencil.

In reality, ArtRage supports almost all tablets. So any tablet that supports pressure, and stylus tilt should do well.

AndyRage's mantra for graphics engine code:
"Sure - how hard can it be?"

    Hi Heikki,

See also my posting below for the Intuos3 pen.

    I have worn out a Volito2 in 4 months.
    You cannot change the nib.
A new pen is almost as expensive as the whole package.

The Intuos3 is totally wonderful, but costs a lot of money. I have had it for 6 hours! The Tilt detection is really good. I am now going to give all my real paint brushes away.

(It may not have ArtRage with it, but there is a handy coffee mat with "Painter" written on it.)
Luck is infatuated with the efficient.
