    Artists Oil Color Swatch Pallets

    If you go HERE

You can get a few color sets I made. They are all based on digitized versions of artist's oil colors. If you put them in your colors folder in resources, you can load them into the swatch pallet. They show all the colors I did with their "oil equivalent" names.

Here are links directly to 'col' files for those not wanting to deal with zip files.

    Thank you David,

I always planned to make some of these but life got in the way.

I've tried to make a Monet palette but the research hasn't led me anywhere useful.

Glad to post it up. For those on Macintosh computers- could you clarify for me. Are you unable to open zip files? I have taken the time to put them up uncompressed (not that they needed compressing in the first place, it was just convenient to put them all in one file). You can find them here:

I don't have a problem getting zip files unstuffed...with stuffit application.
This gives me a folder of items with the extension .col Clicking on them will not open. Putting them in the AR folder under Resources>color does allow them to be used from within AR. The new binary files you posted act exactly the same way. I can place them in the resoures>color folder of AR and then load them through the color palette. They are interpreted by my computer as an mpeg file for some reason. I am guessing that it is the .col extension and that it is meant to be used in a resource folder and not meant to be opened. Is that correct?
