In the studio (3D version after my oil painting).

hello d akey, my friend.... thank u, its always great to have u around.

let me share another collaboration, same team.... here:

a 3D version of one of my own oil paintings, titled: In the Studio -2. painted on canvas.
its was a really interesting work to carry on. my friend at work, sajid saim did all the modeling and lighting and i myself handled the direction, design and texturing.
ofcourse its very hard to get the charm of an oil painting, but we somehow did achieve a fairly decent result, that we are quite content with. done in Maya - Mentral ray.

hope u all like it too....

title: In the studio (3D version after an oil painting).
software: Maya, rendered with mental ray.
    texturing: Photoshop.

here is the link for my original oil painting on canvas:

Very beautiful 3D images, Waheed. How long does it take you to finish each piece in the 3D program? Looks very complicated process but I like it a lot.

pai, gzairborne, prabinpebam, Lee, cahitgulden vincevancough...thank u so much everyone.

pai, 3D involves quite a lot to handle, from modeling, texturing, lighting etc etc to the final render and each of the processes takes time depending on the amount of work and detail you are after. these 3D pieces were done in short time, each of them took around 10 days to finish. done during breaks at work...

thanks again all of you and im very sorry for this very late response.

ill be adding more of my paintings and concepts, done in photoshop and painter here, soon.

    cheers.
