    A botanical painting

A mallee tree which is found in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. I used the ink pen for this.

    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

Oh wow! That is wonderful June. That is a very classy botanical drawing. I’m impressed.

Is this local round you? Next thing it’ll be wombats!

Thanks Brett - no, not local but maybe soon, as my daughter has brought home seeds she collected on a trip to the Flinders Ranges last week. That's where I got the idea for a painting - she asked me if I could identify the tree from my native tree books.

    What, no cats!
Actually I'm a bit of a fan of this "old school" fauna & flora text book type illustration.
But even cat less it's always good to see your paintings
