I have enjoyed using ArtRage to make old art usable for me.
I believe this piece is by Hokusai:

I learned that I didn't need to make erasures if I made a separate layer of white, merged the two, then removed the white matte. I also tediously filled in black where needed to increase contrast. I could do more but I got weary of it and decided it was good enough.

I have several texture layers I can use for background but settled on this one, and needed this color. I hope this is Hokusai. (If otherwise, please correct me.)

That is so interesting suellen and a way to use ArtRage that opens ideas for others who might have thought AR is only for painting. I am very impressed. I haven't a clue about Hokusai, an incentive to Google for more information.
