Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

Oh dear June, that must be really difficult. They become such close friends and soul mates. Warmest virtual hugs to you!

Oh June I’m so sorry to hear of your loss!😢
I know only too well that aching, empty void our furry friends leave in us when they go. They are family.
My thoughts are with you June and thank you sharing your beautiful portrait of Maxie with us.
Virtual hugs from me as well🤗🤗

Thank you friends, I still can't believe he's gone it was so sudden I was not prepared. I appreciate the 'hugs'.

Enug, I am so sorry for your loss. I live alone with my one companion Kira, a petite silver gray. I feel your loss. I send you a hug as well.
    Be well,

Thank you Fashmir for your hug and empathy. My sorrow didn't end there - 10 days later we said goodbye to our black boy Rocky (11 yrs) who had kidney disease. Millie, our remaining cat couldn't work out what was missing in her life. So we welcomed a 10 wk Russian Blue kitten into our lives. Our precious pets can never be replaced but little Archie is helping to fill the void.

Sorry for the loss. When my cat passed people didn't understand what she meant to us.

Sadly it seems some people have the idea that losing a dog has more of an impact than losing a cat. Having experienced both losses they are both so painful and it takes some time to recover from the sadness. Maxie broke his neck in a terrible accident and the trauma for me was worse because it was unexpected. Thank you.
