    Goldfinch

We are in the middle of a hot spell of 40C the last couple of days 41C today and 42C tomorrow and then a change. It has given me plenty of time to paint as the outside chores (inside as well) will have to wait until it's cooler.

    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

    Cool

Whuff! 40 degrees June?! That’s too hot. Hope the change comes as expected.

Interestingly I’ve been working on a goldfinch too, but the ones we have in our garden are the European ones.

Brett (still struggling with feathers! )

We have the same goldfinch here - a very pretty bird. The one I painted is the US goldfinch. You have made a good start on yours. If you are painting in oil you might find a set of brushes under brush designer useful - the bristle brushes under Artistic. Good for feathers.
