    Upsidedown tui

These guys like to hang upsidedown. We have a flock of them - up to thirty or forty of the sometimes in the spring. They are noisy, boisterous (even a little thuggish sometimes) quite people friendly. Mainly nectar feeders, but at this time of year mix in a quantity of insects.

I’m not too happy with the painting: no matter what I do the bird remains stubbornly wooden. Sigh! Maybe I’ll start again. Any advice is welcome

    Love The Vibrant Colours

Hope you resolve your issue with your painting. The colours are so beautiful though. Really lovely.

I agree with wkawhoosh - very colorful. Maybe soften the edges of the feathered outline with instant blur, I use it a lot.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.
