    Painting a Waterdrop

This is just one of many ways to paint a waterdrop.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world

    Hi June,

I painted the waterdrop circle in soft pastel with the tool set at 9%.Then at the same setting I put in the "smile". The pastel was darker blue than the background. Next I chose the palette knife tool at 50% at a blur setting and a hard pressure--ran that over the 1/2 inch image for the blur effect a few times. the finishing touches the two small white curves within the circle top and bottom, not blurred.

It was great fun! I can see myself using it when I do flowers. Of course the drops will be a lot smaller. But that is what magnification is for, right?

    Thank you, very much,

    Sue
