    Ink & watercolour fish

    Hello!

A rough sketch to try out the latest version of ArtRage Vitae!

I used one of the ink pen presets (harsh multiply) with a splash of watercolour. I also added a digital 'antique' paper background layer.

I've not been around on the forum for quite a while (years!) so it's great to see a few familiar names and view the inspiring paintings and artworks in the gallery.

I've actually just upgraded from AR v4 and swapped from Windows to Mac, so have loads of new features to discover and explore. It's definitely come along way, but at the same time still has that nice familiarity of old.

    Hi Jono and welcome back
Great pen & ink style illustration. Looking forward to seeing more from you.
And yes, a lot of great new features since AR4 for you to explore in the new ARV. Not least of which is the new larger max tool size of 800%
And a personal favourite, the included, rather tasty, Peanut Brownies recipe!

Hi Mark, thanks for the welcome and comment.

Yes, I’m bit overwhelmed at the moment. TBH I never quite got my head around all the feature in AR4. I guess I’ll work on a need to know basis and have little surprises along the way.

Not found the brownie recipe yet, but what a nice idea. Maybe we should all bake a batch and post our paintings of them. BTW your bear paintings are amazing.

Thanks DA. I've got so many ideas in my head, I think that's the trick, keep painting!

@Dawiid Thanks for the nice comments.

@Sabina Thanks, that means a lot when said by an accomplished artist such as yourself.

Since doing this drawing I'm afraid I've mainly only been sketching ideas in my note book. So not much in the way of digital/ArtRage art, although I do intend to redo a few of them in ArtRage at some point.

I'm also thinking of taking part in the Inktober challenge (link below), but just the 5K version (post once a week) to see if it can spur me into further action. If I do, they'll be done in ArtRage and I'll post them here!
