Thread: Albert Bierstadt

  1. Albert Bierstadt

I just discovered Albert Bierstadt. I based this on his painting “Yosemite Valley”. I really enjoyed using saturated colors and forcing myself not to “render” every part of the canvas.

Bierstadt is one of those "must see" artists for dramatic and majestic landscapes. And he likely invented every one of them up once he learned the trick for showing distance and elements in such contexts trying to achieve the sense of awe in the viewers however he could. So glad he did. You look inspired with this painting. I always been a fan from the first one I ever laid eyes on. Yours is quite nice.
