    Sorry June I couldn’t resist!
    I don’t know about you but doing feathers always take me out of my comfort zone!
    In fact I’m trying to do a bird at the moment and yes it’s feathers are at that “ugly” stage right now.
    Looking at this and some of your past birds I may have to rethink my approach…

    Thank you gentlemen.

    Mark, just some of the things I do for feathers.
    I use custom brushes - your Strait Hair and a selection from the Artistic brushes - mostly the Bristle Worn and sometimes Bristle 6 Blend. I also use the brushes on the eraser setting. However I think you use watercolour so maybe these brushes are not what would interest you?

    PS Even the white feathers were painted with your brush - I just adjusted the Dab Jitter.
