Love the idea June especially as the cat is actually there in all its detail.

Mr. Ploos - I didn't pinch the quote - honestly!

Geoff and Mark, thanks. It was difficult to choose a colour which didn't overwhelm. Lot's of undos until I found something that I felt might work. After that, it was one of my fastest paintings.

I love me some black cat cuteness.

When we first moved into the house we're in, there were feral cat families in the yard and the first night this is what we saw out the window. Two little kittens were peering in at our old cat who was smack in the middle of the bed. And you could almost hear them sigh with envy. When the old cat would go out during the day all the kittens in the garden gave her respectful space like watching a queen entering her garden. I think they were learning the steps of the office of regal house cat.

So what ultimately happened was when the queen passed the two black kittens came in, took up the center of the bed and stayed.

Anyway, this painting reminds me of that. Thanks, June.
