they saved the gold, then skuttled the ship so no trace should give away the location of the treasure chest, but I have a map, with a big red cross marking the spot, but it is low tide now, and the chest will be hidden below the waves in less than two hours.

Some piratical type done absconded wif yer paintin' o' treasure. Must ha'e been particularly well painted for them ta be fooled by its luster.
