When my cat does that, he knows it'll get me to pet his belly. Then he rolls back and forth enjoying me pet all sides, belly, back, throat, head, etc. He's not terribly playful. More of the "yes hooman, you will pet me and you will like it"

Thanks Geoff and Krigen - Rocky is the only one who likes a belly rub but you have to watch out as he's inclined to grab your hand and those claws hurt. Millie is starting to appreciate it and doesn't scratch. Maxie is having none of it.
