    Sketch.. Fire in the Outback

Not a serious painting, I found some old papergrains I made many years ago in an Early Artrage and just tried some out in this quick scene, attempted to convey the heat smoke and intensity of the fire, it kind of works, the real outback is more clumps of dried grasses and not many older trees, but anyway I decided to post it anyway...….Jack

A great image Jack but a scary reminder of what we suffered last season and what California is going thru now. With our Summer around the corner we hope not to have the same experience again. We have lost enough animals.

You can almost feel the heat.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

I agree. It's super hot. Your colors and values really work. Welcome to Hell. I think this may well be where more than a few of your nefarious characters wound up.

There are parts around here that look just like that these days.

    Very successful painting, Jack-o!
