    Not posted anything ...

... for ages, so thought I'd put a couple of pieces out there, done recently for publication. Been trying a few other painting programmes in the interim but still keep coming back to AR. Haven't upgraded to v6 yet though as I'm still not sure it gives me anything over 5 that I really need.

    Thanks for looking.

Exceptionally clean. Clear enough for any Audubon publication. The shapes are crisp, the colors clear.

Do you ever do a mock up painting before doing a replica? Or anything like a duck decoy or sculpture in the real world? Or are you a painter primarily?

Nice work. I can see why they would love to use your work in print.

Thanks for the kind words. No, I would class myself more as an illustrator, specialising in scientific/technical subjects, than a 'painter' per se. As a fanatical birder, birds tend to crop up frequently in my work. Decoy carvers fascinate me as it is a whole different ball-game visualising something in 3D, creating it from a solid and painting it realistically.

I love these! Clearly suitable for framing!
