    Polar Bear

    Polar Bear
    My first painting for 2022!
Bit of an experiment this one; to paint a polar bear in a landscape, while keeping as far away from using whites as possible!
Watercolour brush, and all my other usual tools…
    Intended print size approx 42cm x 23.5cm

If anyone ever had any doubts about the power of ArtRage in the hands of an artist, they have only to view your wonderful paintings Mark. Once again it proves that in the right hands a fancy display tablet is not needed. Wonderful work - Andy should include your watercolours in his next promo for ARV.

Thank you Redsaucers and June for your kind words
Yes, AR is very versatile. Your work Red and June, and of others who also post on the forums, are all very different from each other and I’m always impressed with the diversity of work that the same software allows us all to produce.

    Black-throated Mango Hummingbird

Never really sure what to write here? Hopefully the picture speaks for itself!
Would like to say thank you though to nekomata for recently posting his watercolour stencils over in the Art Supplies section of the forums, some of which I used in the background.
Other than those, it’s mostly Watercolour brush, Custom Brush and Palette Knife blenders.

    Hi Mark

These are beautiful and very skilful watercolours. I like them a lot!

When we lived in California we had ruby throated humming birds in the garden. I miss them …

    Thanks for the paintings

Thank you for the kind words Brett, glad you like my scribblings.
And hope you get to see your hummingbirds again soon some day.

So beautiful Mark. Of course, the hummingbird is perfection but the flowers would work well as a botanical watercolour. Bravo!

Well, there you go, two paintings for the price of one
Bonus points if you can name the flowers…?
