Beginning to learn and understand the ArtRage software...

Hi , I just get registered...
I am drawing, woodburning (pyrography) and oil painting.
I'm mainly interested with animals and people portraits...
I wasn't ever interested to do more about digital drawing, than free quick sketches occassionally...
I can't explain that, but recently I got deeper into this, than ever before..?
I'm willing to introduce the digital drawing skills to my art hobby.
I found this forum by coincident, so happy to find it 😁👍
I suspect I will need a lot of work and practice,to understand how to use the ArtRage software.
I'm awaiting for the Wacom Intuos tablet to be delivered soon...
For now I'm making my very poor steps having the ArtRage app on my tablet Samsung S4.
Best regards to all of you.

Yesterday I started messing with the charcoal/graphite...

My first painting experience didn't work out...
So I switched to charcoal instead.
I did play a bit with settings, and I have started blocking in the areas, and improwing wherever I could, to build up the dark and the light areas.
All I am doing is learning the software, settings and tools...
It is hit and miss experience really.
I know it'll take time before I'll understand what I'm doing.

This is beautiful! I especially like the eyes. Keep up the good work.

That's awesome. What tools did you use with the charcoal? I love the detail with the mouth.

I'm looking to do animals as well but really not sure what tools to use. Ultimately I want to give it a pencil look for the actual animal.
