ArtRage and Spoonflower: EASY seamless design

I had old (pre snap-to-grid) instructions on how to make a design seamless, but it was difficult for me, so I used to export my design into GIMP to make the +2-2 wraparound and then re-import it to finish in ArtRage. However! Now that ArtRage features "snap-to-grid", it's really easy to make a seamless pattern without leaving ArtRage.
Although“Pattern Fill” allows me to make a basic repeat of a design element, sometimes I need a repeat of interlocking or randomly placed design elements. "Snap-to-Grid" gives me precision when I do a wraparound in ArtRage. I can then test the seamless quality using "Pattern Fill".

Part 1: I start a Spoonflower fabric design on a 9” square canvas because 9” is a convenient divisor of most fabric sizes. 150 ppi is what Spoonflower needs for printing. I create the basis of my design in the center of the canvas, leaving the edges open.
