    Horse WIP

first painting in the full version of ArtRage2
'm getting used to the layers 'n stuff, putting sketches and paint separately really made it easier to work. but it does take away from the similarity the trial version had to 'real' paint,...some what.

    Yeah, I agree. Very nice.

I think you will get used to the ability to find your drawing no matter how much you paint over it. That always drove me nuts about painting real paintings -- losing the drawing.

Some similarities to regular painting I'm happy to be rid of.

You did a really nice painting. I feel the action very well, and I really like your color and values.

    Hi bassetsketch,

This is stunning work. I was always wonder why no people draw horses in this forum because I love horses so much. You're very talented. Can't wait to see your final version.

great work, very beautiful and captures the movement so well. Nice that you left in the head study so we can see some of the gorgeous detail in the face and mane.

thnks guys though i couldn't finish it this weekend, hopefully it will be when the next one comes up.

D Akey: haha, you're right. most of the times the finished paintings look nothing like the sketch, but because of that my preliminary sketches have become quite simple and...well...preliminary
