where I live September is a month of dried out landscapes and winds blowing in off the Pacific and hinting of the rains and snow to come, so the inspiration for this work and title.
Hands clapping here, Gary. This beautiful painting reminds me of what we are seeing as well. The farmers have started with the fields behind our home. Acres and acres of corn cut and removed leaving behind dried corn plants connecting to the soft green fields and beyond black barns with the light glinting from the silver roofs reflecting the magnificent sky above. Love this.
