    Bird on a Flower

    Wanted to just mellow out and do just a simple pleasing painting today ref from web

    a sweet little painting indeed Pat. To me I can see a wonderful abstract in the background work, you are not far from doing an abstract painting.... be careful!

    This could make a great black lacquer Chinese style inlay kind of piece of furniture. The shapes are so clear. Very decorative, and yet it implies some reminders of inner strength in the household.

    It seems to tell a personal story, I think. And the bird is in all manner of environments and can move easily between them, but she also has her beautiful flower like a gemstone when pulled in for strength and support. Poetic, Pat.

    Gorgeous Pat- it makes me think of the wetlands near where I live- there many little birds like this come to nest
