Thanks for the welcome Rondo. I probably should of introduced myself. I usually do art before crashing out, then repeat, work, music, art and zzz's...
I'm new to Artrage, and liking it's layout and tools, still trying to figure it all out and having fun.

very nice work and welcome to the forum Chuck. I like the beautiful buildup of textures and colors you've achieved very painterly surfaces.

Very rich color and strokes. Appreciate your bringing these nice paintings to view where we all just became bird watchers in a manner of speaking.

Owls are so cool, aren't they. Hard to not relate them to cats in the shape of their heads. (I wouldn't have thought to relate them to a sparrow or whatever. Mine used to eat them for breakfast). Anyway the owl is very much the predator with the eyes set forward for good depth perception. Your artistry is amazing. And the touch of whimsy is very effective. I love the painting style. Neat with the BW line art as well.

I love your brilliant blue little bird-it seems just ready to fly from the branch.
Your cat bird is a fun experiment i quite believe it would happily exist throught the looking glass with the cheshire cat
The owl makes me think of a bookplate illustration like those people had to know if someone had forgotten to return their borrowed treasures of the library- i like him very much
