    Island sunset

    With perhaps a nod to JMW Turner. I am a huge admirer of his paintings.

    Another one that's hitting all the right buttons for me
    This sits very well with your other Icelandic painting Brett and makes a great counterpoint to it.
    They work well as a pair and I can see both these as large prints on a wall

    I think the painting is stunning and appears to have several layers of significance.

    Just offshore from where I live is an island that looks like a sleeping dragon and twice a year the sun sets right behind its nose and it looks like it’s breathing fire (well, with a bit of imagination!!). This painting is, in part, about that.
